Breed: Beagle Other Breeds
A trustworthy companion who makes a great family pet as they are eager to romp and play. He is a good watchdog as and can be trained to hunt. When left alone he may howl. Training will alleviate this problem. New owners should be aware of his natural hunting instincts and should not be left alone for long periods of time.

Temperament: Friendly, gently and lovable.
Color(s): White, black, tan, red, lemon and blue mottle.
Grooming: Massaging the skin with your fingers or brushing with a firm bristle brush. Bathe only when necessary with a mild or dry shampoo.
Coat(s): Short, dense and weatherproof.

With Pets: Very friendly with other dogs in his pack, might chase other small animals.
Training: Respond well to basic obedience training.
Exercise: Exercise is needed on a leash as the Beagle has a tendency to roam. A large back yard will take care of most of the Beagles exercise requirements.
Health Issues: Congenital heart disease, spinal problems, epilepsy and skin conditions. They also have a tendency to become obese.
Housing: He is an inside dog who requires lots of outside activity. House should have a fenced yard.
