Set on 175 acres in gorgeous upstate New York, Glen Highland Farm is a summer getaway that combines nature trails, swimming, hiking and play, with classes in agility, herding, FrisbeeŽ, flyball, animal communication and training.
All breeds of dogs are welcome and all are kept off leash across the farm, a feature that makes this camp different from most others.
Glen Highland Farm is home to a non-profit, on-site dog sanctuary called Sweet Border Collie Rescue where 150 dogs will find safe haven each year awaiting their new homes. Due to their behavior complexity, border collies have become one of the top ten breeds at risk for being euthanized. Attendance to the camp provides financial support for the rescue program.
Additionally, Glen Highland Farm provides an innovative summer camp for inner-city children who learn non-violent methods of dealing with conflict through working with rescue dogs. Vacationers often get involved in all aspects of the farm's "Caring Programs" while enjoying their own retreat.
