Starring David Arquette (Gordon), Angus T. Jones (James), Leslie Bibb (James' Mother), Michael Clarke Duncan (FBI Agent Murdoch), Paul Sorvino (Mob Boss Sonny Talia), and Joe Viterelli and Steven R. Schirippa (bungling hit men).
Directed by John Whitesell
Rated PG, 1 hour and 34 minutes long.

Gordon is a mailman and like most stereotypical mailmen, he doesn't like dogs and dogs don't like him. He does, however, like a beautiful young lady and her son James, who live just across the way. When James' regular babysitter comes down with food poisoning, Gordon steps in hoping for a date with James' mother -- who only sees Gordon as an irresponsible bachelor.

"Agent 11" is a highly trained Bull-mastiff that works for the FBI. After Agent 11 costs Mob-Boss Sonny Talia millions of dollars (and an irreplaceable part of his anatomy), the mob puts a "hit" out on Agent 11.

When the mobsters try to kill Agent 11 during the FBI's attempt to transport him to a safe location, Agent 11 escapes and ends up hiding in Gordon's mail truck. Gordon, who is babysitting James when he discovers Agent 11 in his mail truck, ends up "accidentally" promising James that he can keep the dog.

James knows about as much about babysitting kids as he does about fighting mobsters. Hilarity ensues as James, Gordon and "Spot" (Agent 11) try to stay alive until James' mother returns, or the FBI shows up.

Despite the fact that I don't typically like slapstick humor, I found this movie both funny and entertaining. The plot was not nearly as predictable as most family movies that feature a hero/police dog.

Will Gordon win the heart of the pretty blonde next door? Will Agent 11/Spot have to return to his job at the FBI, where the dogs wear shock collars, aren’t allowed to play, and serve only one purpose, which is to work? Watch "See Spot Run," for the answer to these questions, as well as for a few good laughs.
