Bark if you love art! That’s the promo line for the 5th annual Art Bark Fest being held in Lake Tahoe, California September 13 and 14. Art Bark Fest was created to combine the love of art and wine with the love of animals and is one of the only animal themed fine arts and wine festival in the country, according to Tails by the Lake, hosts of the event. Visitors will enjoy sipping fine wines, listening to live music and browsing the art at the foot of the Squaw Valley peaks. The event attracts artists from all across the country to display and sell their fine oil paintings, sculptures and other creations. There’s Cholla, the horse that is also an abstract watercolor painter, and a jeweler who will create a 14K gold pendant from your dog’s nose print. The best part about Art Bark Fest is that 10% of artwork sales go to The Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe.
