Sugar licked and sniffed it but I think it might have been to heavy for her to actually play wiht BUT our male dog who is a corgie LOVED it he plays with it and enjoys it - sugar still enjoys it but I think she's "mellowing" some and wasn't as interested as sparky was. thank you for letting us try it. |

Poco (age 3)loved to play for a short while. But each time after about 2 minutes he would drop the toy and begin to quickly lick his lips repeatedly,then walk away from the toy. I believe his behavior was due to mild discomfort with his gums or teeth. He did not initiate play with this toy without my interaction. The toy is well constructed with a tendency to hold lint or fur. This can be washed easily enough. It bounces well adding to the fun. I think it was slightly too large for Poco at 23lbs and would work a little better if it were slightly smaller. He is not a big chewer however and that might be a problem with a dog who did tend to chew up anything smaller.
I will continue to play with Poco and the toy and see if what appears to be pain becomes any less with time.( I did check his mouth and did not see signs of blood or loose teeth). Poco has always shown a preference for soft toys like stuffed ones. But did overall seem to like some play with this one. |

Zie didn't know how to react to the toy at first, but within minutes, she was thrashing it and playing with it. She carries it to her pet bed now. |
