I drive a full-sized SUV, so there is a lot of surface to cover. I live with 5 adult dogs and currently foster a mom and her 6 puppies. I also frequently transport rescued dogs who could benefit from a bath, and my own dogs can become quite pungent at times. My spouse says, and I have to admit, that my car gets quite "doggie". There was no feces, vomit, urine, etc. to contend with - just a funky odor. I followed the directions and covered all surfaces without saturating them. I used the entire can during this one application. Without knowing the cost of the product, I am unclear whether it is an economical way to deal with the problem. I then wiped the leather and vinyl surfaces with a soft cloth after they dried. I did not expect, but was pleased, that the product cleaned those surfaces. The product did remove the dog smell, but unfortunately, it left its own "gamey" odor which persisted for a couple of days even after I left the windows down and the sunroof open. Frankly, I prefer the dog odor, though I don't know if everyone would agree. Eventually, I purchased air fresheners to mask the product's lingering smell. I would tell a friend that it's worth a try - especially if the problem is confined to a single spot, like a urine stain, and I might try it again for the same purpose. However, for general mustiness or funkiness, it didn't help much to exchange one odor for another. In that regard, I doubt it would affect cigarette smoke odor much. |

Sorry, this product just did not work for me. I had a spot in my van where a dog had urinated. I used the product as directed and had to leave the vehicle, it had a very odd chemical smell and I do not tollerate chemcials well. Went back that evening to check to see if the urine odor was gone but I could still smell it. I spayed again and waited a few days but I still smell the urine. :-( |
